In her late teens Barb suffered a serious accident leaving her with constant headaches and numbness in her hands.
After two years of physiotherapy and rehabilitation this condition persisted. Medical doctors recommended a spinal fusion. Luckily a family friend, who happened to be a neurosurgeon, recommended they take Barb to a chiropractor.
Out of desperation, Barb saw a Chiropractor and the results were amazing. Headaches and numbness were virtually eliminated in a very short period and all without any type of surgery let alone spinal related. Barb also had a new career option that up until that time she never new existed!
Prior to becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic, Barb received an honours degree in Kinesiology-Sports Medicine from the University of Waterloo. She treated varsity and elite athletes both on the field and in the rehabilitation clinic. While studying for her Doctorate in Chiropractic, Barb also found time to head up the operation of a busy motor vehicle accident rehabilitation centre.
Dr. Barbara Maclean graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1996. In 2001 she completed her fellowship in Paediatric Chiropractic which specializes on the conditions and management of issues commonly seen in family chiropractic.
